I've never read a book before where I didn't like any of the main characters. I had no one to root for. I couldn't imagine what a happy ending could be. I went on a crazy roller coaster of emotion. I was angry, then ashamed, then proud, amazed and befuddled. This book kept me tore up until the end. The ending was very satisfying. I sat quietly and thought for a long time about tolerance and compromise, wasted lives and sacrificial love.Product details
